Five for Friday: April 1st

I've never been so happy to have the flu! I don't have to listen to kids tell me I have a spider on my head all day long!

It's hilarious!

I already gave away number 1. I'm home with the flu. It's all good. Like I said, I get to miss April Fools' :( It's so sad.
Spring Break was last week. We were able to have a nice relaxing week at my favorite winery in Temecula. There was a spa day, food, wine, and lizards. There were lizards everywhere.

My adorable central message posters were printed and posted in my classroom this week. I had a smaller version before, but I wanted to make them a bigger piece of my classroom.
I Didn't Learn This in 2nd Grade! I wrote a post about a skill we're teaching our 2nd graders, but we didn't learn about. Unless I was sick that day and it was never revisited again. Find out how I use those posters in #3 in my classroom.

So, as I mentioned twice :), I am sick. I'll be ok, thanks. Anyway, I didn't get to take a picture of the most adorable Easter basket I was given. I took it to school and, well, I'm not there. So, this one will have to do. It's a Poky Little Puppy pail! Do you remember that book?
I hope all you teachers had a fun April Fools' Day! I'm sure a lot of you are good sports. I am not. I think it's a trust issue.

  1. Aww, feel better friend! Mine didn't understand the joy of April Fool's until about 30 minutes before dismissal (thank God cause it was nonstop after that!). I LOVE your central message posters! Cute and effective. <3

  2. I LOVED the Poky Little Puppy when I was little! That pail is adorable!
What a bummer you have the flu, but I agree it's perfect timing! I'm on spring break, so I didn't have school today, and I am so glad!
    Shine on in First Grade

  3. Feel better! I have been sick more this year than any year I can remember!
