Travelin' Thursday--Amsterdam

Hey! I'm linking up with Amy from My Bright Bunch for Travelin' Thursday! I've been to many great places, but let me tell you, I love the U.S.A.!

My most recent trip abroad was to Amsterdam. I had heard so many great things about this place, so when I was given the opportunity to go, I went!
Everyone that goes to Amsterdam takes a picture here.

I'm going to be honest with you, I don't have a good memory. Just a little issue I have. But Amsterdam is, by far, one of the most beautiful places I've been.

I had to take a picture of a street sign. Try saying that. "Reading" the names was too much fun!
 Canals everywhere!

Waffles everywhere!

They are known for their tulips. We tried bringing some bulbs home, but customs would not allow this.

People here ride bikes everywhere. See the green light? They must be used to foreigners not knowing how to ride a bike the "right" way. I'm surprised I didn't get into an accident.
We visited the Van Gogh Museum. It was pretty cool.
The most amazing part of the trip was the Anne Frank house. We climbed the stairs leading to the annex where she hid. The rooms were bare, but artifacts were left on the walls. The marks that showed the growth of Anne and her sister. Some pictures that Anne had posted to the walls. It was very emotional.
I recommend Amsterdam to anybody wanting to go out of the country, but are a little hesitent. The people are welcoming and they speak English, so no need to worry about language. I felt really safe and comfortable, which is a plus.

So there it is! My trip in pictures!
