Five for Friday & a Freebie

It's been a great week! I hope your week was great, too!

Our ladybugs came in! I really don't like bugs, but there's something about having our own insects that makes me like them. . . but only OUR bugs. The rest are still gross.

I checked my Peeps stash. There's still plenty. No need to worry!

I bought a Fitbit. True story: 4 out of 5 second grade teachers wear a Fitbit. At my school at least.

I've been working on my May fluency pack. I really love these passages. They are leveled and high interest. My struggling 2nd graders love them. They feel so successful. That makes my day!

Best part of the baby shower I co-hosted: mimosas! Apparently  I don't make them correctly. I put in way too much juice, but that's my style. I just go back for more and I get plenty of vitamin C.

Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I recently wrote a post about Teaching and Fitbitting! If you and your team have any ideas, I'd love to hear them! My school recently started a step challenge so we are all trying to figure out how to get the most steps in. -Stephanie Applelight Moments by Stephanie

  2. I've been thinking about getting a Fitbit... Have you starting walking (or exercising) more because of it? It seems like it would be motivating. At least it must be nice to know how active we are during the day.
    Have a great weekend!

    1. Hi, Erica!
I bought it because I saw my teachers becoming much more motivated. It has definitely made me get up and move more!

  3. Hi Stacy! I just found your blog! I'm following :) It is one of the most adorable blogs I've seen! I totally get what you are saying about the bugs in your classroom... It's so much fun to do something like that. We do caterpillars and butterflies... Normally I would never be one to touch a caterpillar outside, but in the classroom, you get past it. Have a great weekend!

  5. Your Ladybug journal looks so cute! We just got some caterpillars and my kids are SO excited! We will have to get some ladybugs next!! But, agreed, the rest of the bugs have to stay outside... :)
